|}

Orks are savage barbarians engineered as part of a super soldier program by the Celestial Architects to fight the Necrons at the start of the C'tan Wars. They are large, muscular, violent, bloodthirsty, and obsessed with killing. They won't stop killing everyone, even their own race to satisfy their lust for violence. Orks normally fight eachother, but they can gather into crusades, called WAAGHs, where Orks unite under a warboss to declare was on a planet, race, or tribe. Formerly, they could overpopulate an entire planet in fifty years, but genetic design has limited their reproduction, weakening their numbers.

History
Creation and the Great WAAGH
It is rumored that the Orks came from the same plane as the Necrons. Orkish lore states of the "lost dimension," where the Orks swarmed the galaxy, outnumbering the myriad of armies in their path. Then, the great Ork Warboss Graal Bloodspiller came through "Da Big Portal," sending in a massive WAAGH on this universe.

The first to fight this threat was the Kirken Empire, emerging at the time as a universal threat. The Kirken lost many holdings to Bloodspiller, and soon the Ork encroached on Chozo, Vhozon and Celestial Architect territory. Already fighting the C'tan wars, the Architects were caught between a war with the Orks and a war with the Necrons, with the Orks smashing through the Architect's outer planets and reaching their inner planets. So the Architects settled on a gambit

Sending in a strange breed of sentient robotic beings, the Ironclad, the Architects were able to hold back the Ork tide. Then, they drew Bloodspiller out in the open for a final battle, using one of the Turn A Gundams as a "challenge." Bloodspiller was ambushed, and slaughtered.

The Celestial Control
With the Ork warboss defeated, the Bloodspiller's WAAGH was scattered, falling into clan fighting and disorganization. Meanwhile, the Celestial Architects were beginning to lose the war against the Necrons. They sought to create weapons, any weapons that could turn the tide in their favor.

Then they studied the Orks. They found that there actually was premade DNA manipulation in their structure from eons ago, before their universe even existed. This structure was designed for the sole purpose of killing the Necrons. However, the master Architects saw flaws in this structure, and perfected it. They limited their reproductive system, and lessened their aggression.

They sent the DNA change into the Ork ecosystem, and within ten years, Ork reproduction went negative. Worlds under their control began to sway away. The Architects saw their mistake when the Orks would no longer form WAAGHs to fight the Necrons, being slaughtered by their to-be prey when they threw nothing but petty tribes against the Necron tide.

The Architects had to create a WAAGH against the Necrons. They risked giving the Orks a new leader. After engineering the old Ork genome, they made the ultimate Ork from a captured Ork warrior. His name came to be known as High Warlord Blackclaw Deathkiller.
Zeus ARC Trooper Commander 003, or "Scorch," is the last in a line of specialized Advanced Recon Commandos developed by Sneezier using Yoshilier's genetic strain. Scorch is a first-generation clone, using cells directly from Yoshilier. Scorch made his famous stand in the Dark Ages, but has served with the core Yoshi Bodyguards even past their breakup. Scorch now commands the 1st ARC Trooper Regiment, which quickly has become the most feared regiment in the modern Star World Defensive Forces.

History
Creation
Scorch is a first generation Yoshi clone created from the genetic strain of Yoshilier during Sneezier's Zeus project, a project to create better commando units for the Clone Army. Due to the immense cost, the project was soon canceled, but not before four Zeus ARC Troopers were created. One of these was Scorch. Scorch underwent intense training before being fielded in several engagements against the COUE. It would be worth noting that before the Dark Ages, he befriended his suits intelligent AI system, Erica. The two served side by side on many a mission. Scorch was sent back to Yoshi Bodyguard Headquarters, taking defensive duty with his fellow Zeus ARCs briefly before the greatest calamity overtook Star World.

The Dark Ages
On the Zeus ARC trooper's watch, the Yoshi Bodyguard Headquarters was overrun by the demonic menace. Two of the four Zeus ARCs died when trying to evacuate. Scorch and Zeus 004 made it onto a transport en route to Mushroom Kingdom before it was shot down. Zeus 004 was killed in the impact. Scorch lead the remaining Clones of the crash to Mushroom Kingdom, helping in it's defense and evacuation. After all denizens were evacuated, Scorch took what remained of the defenders and engaged Vaufendor's forces on open ground and taking some of their spawning portals. The battle came at a cost, causing a 60% mortality for Scorch's defenses, but it was a victory.

Knowing it would only be a matter of time before Mushroom Kingdom was overrun, Scorch managed to contact the fleet above, and took what defenders remained to evacuate the refugee camps scattered across the planet. His liberators moved through western Mushroom Kingdom, and into the Beanbean and Koopa Kingdoms. On the way, his forces gained volunteers, reinforcing his ground forces with what weapons the refugees and remaining SWDF forces had, including tanks and aircraft.

Scorch's greatest failure came when he fought the demons on the Western coast of Star World. After hunting down a refugee camp that was under the saw of Vaufendor, the demons ambushed Scorch's liberators. Nearly all were killed. Scorch managed to escape with a small part of his forces, a majority of those killed by the elements or driven mad when the Titan revealed itself. Scorch's Zeus Armor, weapons, and his AI Erica were all destroyed by the metal-eating air emitted by the Titan. The loss of his friend and his army still haunts Scorch.

Scorch managed to retreat to a refugee camp, built out of a wrecked Starcruiser. There, he fended off the demon's forces, and watched Subsourian fight the Titan. When Sub nearly killed himself stalling the god, Scorch ran to the field, and carried him back to the camp, where he was given medical care for the remainder of the Dark Ages. He then was forced to defend the camp while Anubis faced down the Eater of Worlds, inevitably ending in a success.

Service to the Yoshi Bodyguards
Scorch managed to save the refugees, and was one of the few clone troopers to survive on Star World for the entire Dark Ages. He was promoted to Commander, leading the 1st ARC Trooper Regiment, uniting the remaining Advanced Reconnaissance Commandos that survived through the Dark Ages. Scorch mostly served against the COUE up to their downfall, and was then reassigned to base duty.

His exploits with the Yoshi Bodyguards started when the base was raided by Bounty Hunters, each seeking information on the Alambic Sector's "Ultimate Power." It was Scorch that helped face down Gorea with Samus, delivering several blows to the God-Creature itself. Scorch returned to base, briefly aiding in a strange minimizing event for the Yoshi Bodyguards, forced to wander the base at a smaller size.

He then helped with several Operations on Pokeworld, helping Danny in finding his family and destroying the abomination that mimicked him, Dark Danny. Scorch was also leader of the group captured by Chozo sentry devices in The Shadows of Nor'Lesha, breaking out of prison to contact the Federation, getting them off of the planet.

When the first battle of Finichia broke out, starting the Metal Wars, Scorch was part of Sub's expedition to recover the Titan Dominatris. He personally fought the Necron's Nightbringer, inevitably failing against his might, though he did survive the day.

Scorch would serve in many more Metal Wars battles, giving the 1st ARC Troopers fame. He personally delivered the bomb that devastated the Metal Army fleet in the Mid-Rim campaign, and his men held back forces in the Talon system, holding out against entire legions even with no reinforcements or cover. Scorch gained fame here, though he was there to help the Yoshi Bodyguards in several more missions, namely against Dark Danny and COUE remnants. However, one of his great blunder was on Chronis, where he ordered the Storm Angels on an Order Extermanatis to neutralize all threats on the planet, unknowingly damning the SWDF garrison there. This lead to the breakup of the Yoshi Bodyguards, making him somewhat responsible for their dismantlement. Scorch at the time was serving on New Hyrule, but the events surrounding the mission are classified.

He also served in a little known event involving the Cloud, Operation: Cloud Hunt. He held down the base camp of Area 64, but was warped back to the "real" universe by a image of Topper with the rest of the clone army.

When the Yoshi Bodyguards broke up, Scorch was given no choice in the matter of joining the SWDF. His 1st ARC Trooper Regiment's fame, though, gave him access to many aspects of the SWDF life. He himself could pick and choose missions assigned to him, allowing him to work with Team TOT when he so chose.

Modern Years
Scorch's work with Team TOT was mostly limited to a major event involving a massive ghost Pokemon that threatened the sector. He was given permission to partake in aiding Team TOT alone, battling across space and time to fight the monster. In the end, Nocktor was destroyed, and Scorch brought back to Star World in time for the Metal Army invasion. With the aid of Frob and Bread, his newly appointed honor guard, Scorch turned the tide of the battle of Fort Me'Chai, breaking their invasion in several sectors before they could gain a foothold.

Scorch then was assigned to recover Domanatris. He, Frob, and Bread arrived, just as the Copper Legion attacked the Yoshi Bodyguard position around the Titan. After all seemed lost, the Vhozon showed up, stating the Metal Army was a threat to them as well, as they had something in their possession with the capabilities to destroy everybody. Scorch used their help to defeat the Copper Legion, and took Domantris to Mekkai.

When Scorch landed, the three of them joined in the final battle against Metal Sneezier and Ultra Stuffwell. Scorch was given s atrange power through the battle, enabling him to speed through space in an orb of light. Scorch aided in the Metal Army's final defeat, and was given honors for his service to Star World.

Scorch appeared in the final battle against the Dark Perforation, as well. He personally fought his way through their defenses, eventually beating the Dark Perforation's core. However, in the final battle, his honor guard, Frob and Bread, deserted the fight. Though it never was stated, Scorch was dishonored by this, as he personally vouched for their honors. He cannot figure out why they would abandon the battle, and is somewhat hurt by it.

Scorch continues to serve Star World, now resting from his previous victories. With command of his regiment, he has had little time to work with Sub or Team TOT. However, he knows his duty, and continues to serve against the enemies of Star World.

Discrepancies
Appearance in the Dark Ages
Originally, Sub had used a character in the Dark Ages named ARC Yoshilier, serving as Sub's assistant in manners involving the clone army. Scorch was supposed to be a renamed ARC Yoshilier, and was referenced to have served with Sub in the Dark Ages. However, Sub reintroduced ARC Yoshilier as his assistant in the Nightwind IV, and created a backstory for Scorch's service, making the two characters separate.

Non-Canon Appearances
Tick Tack Emissary
Scorch appeared in the alternate-universe TTE, where he mimicked Falco in his moveset. Scorch was sent to aid Sub and Blizzard outside a jungle area, where they fought a clone of Blizzard. Scorch then called the Nightwind IV in, in order to peruse Pichup's capers. Scorch then commanded the Nightwind IV against the Ghost Ship, failing against it's magic, despite superior size and armaments. However, the Ghost ship was liberated, and Scorch used the Nightwind IV to lead the attack into Count Bleah's lair. The first attack failed, turning Scorch into a trophy. However, after he was resurrected, Scorch helped beat Count Bleah, in the process nearly killing himself in order to save Sub.

TRTDAHAN
Scorch was sleighed to appear in this RP as a "door character," who is followed by the "real" main characters. Scorch was to appear in his Dark Age incarnation, where he would be raiding a demon camp in order to cover a group of fleeing refugees. This never happened, however, as he was never chosen before the RP died out.

Personal Information
Scorch is a soldier at heart. He serves in battle with pride, and yet seeks little glory on the field (just the same, the 1st ARC's records are usually kept top secret). Scorch has a love for the Yoshi Bodyguards, and helps them with missions whenever the chance comes by. It has been referenced that he does seek a relationship, and, like Topper, is somewhat jealous of the other relationships of YB members. However, he knows that, being a clone, he would have no time for that, and must stick to his duty first. Scorch is strict on the battlefield, wanting only to see those under his command survive the day. No mercy is shown by him in war.

Abilities
Scorch's abilities are in his armor and weapons. His body itself is augmented with strength past that of a normal Yoshi, with faster reflexes and better combat abilities. However, he relies on his weapons and armor to win the day, employing rockets, battlerifles, and explosives in order to defeat his enemies.

Final Smash: Strafing Run
Scorch, with his high rank, he is able to call in strikes from nearby SWDF vessels. These orbital strikes start with a bombardment of several fighters, which clear the area. Then, the ship fires medium range weapons, finishing up with a full bombardment of the area. The strength of this attack depends on the location. If there are local ships to call on, the attack is lethal. If not, the final smash is nearly useless.

Family
Yoshilier
Scorch was created from a cell of Yoshilier, cloning his direct DNA. He never got to meet Yoshilier, but he has heard of his exploits and death. Scorch considers him somewhat of a saint or guardian angel.

Clone Army
Scorch's closest family is the Yoshi Bodyguard Clone Army, most of which were born in the same lab. He cares for their safety, and puts it on himself when they die under his command. Due to anti-clone sentiments, Scorch, like all other clones, has had to stick to his clones for companionship. His direct relations were to the other three Zeus ARC Troopers, who were all killed in the Dark Ages. For now, he considers the 1st ARC Trooper Regiment the closest thing he has to a family.

Items
AR55 Battle Rifle
The AR55 is Scorch's customizable gun. The gun carries "universal ammunition rounds," which can be modified to a single-shot sniper format, a multi-burst mid-range format, a close range automatic format, and a "stun" mode. The rounds come in different variants: standard, scatter, armor-piercing, incinerary, explosive, and "safe." Currently, there is talk of a newer "energy" variant, being created at Scorch's request since the Dark Perforation battle. Sneezier personally took the request and have the new weapon ready soon.

S7786 Zeus Class Combat Battle Armor
Scorch, being part of an experimental program, was given a suit of prototype armor that enabled him to uplink with PS systems, lock onto targets via HUD, survey squad member status, and scan targets for upload into the PS database. This armor was destroyed in the Dark Ages, but Sneezier created a second suit, this one containing better versions of the same features. Due to issues with the interface, the original "energy shield" aspect of the armor was scrapped, instead augmenting the armor for better defense all around. The armor improved tolerance, but does not make Scorch immune to radiation, and contains small oxygen tanks for underwater and space missions.

ARC Missile Launcher
New to Scorch's arsenal is the ARC missile launcher, standard for explosive or anti-armor missions. This launcher fires Deznium-tipped rockets that explode on contact. In addition, the user gets limited control over the rocket, allowing them to hit specific targets with ease. Scorch rarely uses this weapon due to issues with weight and size, but it was one of his key components in the non-canon Tick Tack Emissary.

Grenades and Mines
Among other things, Scorch carries an arsenal of grenades and mines. These come in different variants, grenades being, but not limited to plasma, stun, frag, and incinerary, while the mines are trip, timed, and remote. Scorch uses these liberally, and has a good record with their effectiveness and accuracy.

Other Supplies
Though the above items are standard on Scorch, his arsenal varies with missions. He carries two side arms, in case of disarmament, and a built in arm blade for close combat. Usually, he has medical supplies on hand, and has a basic first aid knowledge. Scorch also carried around the destroyed chip of the AI Erica, keeping it as a memoir of a lost friend and a good luck charm.

Residence
Scorch wanders from base to base, never staying in one place for too long. With the transfer into the SWDF and the types of missions his regiment carry out, Scorch cannot hold down a set "home." He very rarely sleeps, and when he does, it is in outposts or on transports between missions.

Interactions with other Characters
Subsourian the Dark
Scorch and Sub have got along since their meeting in the Dark Ages. Subsourian trusts Scorch, and had him as his sub-commander for a time before he was transferred to the 1st ARC. Sub and Scorch still keep in touch, the two survivors of may a mission. Sub's serious nature sometimes bothers Scorch, and he sometimes wonders if it won't be his end.

Sneezier
Top
Oshy
ARC Yoshilier
Plasshi
Trivia
*Scorch's name was from the Star Wars: Republic Commando character Scorch. This was an explosives expert with a large temper. As such, the name and "clone" status are the only similarities between the two.
*Scorch, in Pokemon Platinum 3, was portrayed as sarcastic and somewhat mean to other YB members, namely Top. Sub considers this interpretation non-canon, though the story itself is not. Sub blames Top.

The Star World Defensive Forces are the main military forces set about to defend the planet and territories of Star World. What it lacks in strength and technological advancements is their numbers, as most of the population is put in service at some point through military drafts (though this does not stop a high volunteer rate). The army itself is headed by the Council of Star World, which deals with all affairs of the planet on a galactic level. The army is known to use commissars to keep the troops in line, although the army continues it's high track record for discipline and moral. Several organizations, such as the Yoshi Bodyguards, Galactic Federation Marine Corps, and Cyber Bell Vanguard, have assisted in the technological advancement of their forces.

History
In the late 1940's (Star World Calendar), the Galactic Federation made contact with the post-modern age Star World. This, along with the arrival of Mexous Sneezier some half-century later, enhanced Star World to the point of faster-than-light, or slipspace, space travel. Star World could now contact with other planets. It was then it became apparent that Star World was, indeed, not alone in the universe, and the only way they would survive as a planet was to unite.

After several invasions, the nations of Star World pooled their military might together to form the SWD. (The Koopa Kingdom fully joined much later in the timeline) To control it, the nations formed a Council to oversee the SWDF's command. As reliance on other planets grew, the Council grew to become the ruling body on Star World, able now to overrule a national ruler's decisions.

In its early days of colonization, the SWD were called upon to defend the newly found colonies against Ork and Kriken threats, as well as sustain several riots and uprisings on Star World itself. Though the FOEA provided them with some action, the first time the SWD saw true war was against the private military contractor Darkcorp, when Star World was directly invaded several times. Eventually, with the aid of the Yoshi Bodyguards, the SWD destroyed Darkcorp, but soon after, the Confederation of Universal Evil rose to threaten the planet. In those times, the Yoshi Bodyguards became a private military force overshadowing the SWD, a force with greater technology than the planet's official military and loyal only to the Yoshi Islands. Much debate formed over the Yoshi Bodyguard's ethical use of clones and role in the planet's defense until a single event changed Star World forever.

When the Dark Ages set in, the SWD were charged with civilian evacuation and colonial lock downs, while the YBs were charged with defeating the demon menace. While the casualties for both the Yoshi Bodyguards and the Star World Defensive Forces were immense, it was the YBs that suffered more in terms of casualties. As the Dark Ages set in, it was not rare to see a stranded SWD force defending refugee camps located across the planet, while the Yoshi Bodyguards left were nearly wiped out, very few packs of former regiments left to roam the barren hellscape of the planet. When the Titans finally fell at Anubis's hands, the Yoshi Bodyguards had proven themselves loyal to Star World, and were allowed to hold a standing force. But the SWD were not out of the picture yet.

It was the YBs that primarily saw to the defeat of the COUE (Although the Galactic Federation delivered the killing blow), but when the Metal Wars began to grip the universe, the SWDF had regrown enough to become a major player in Star World's contribution to the war effort. Fleets of SWDF forces fought alongside the YBs in combat, and for a while all was well. Then, on Chronis, the largest battle of the Metal Wars, the YBs and the SWDF had contradicting orders, which pitted them against each other. This caused the death of SWDF hero Lucas Alexander as well as thousands of troops on both sides. After the battle, the YBs were put on trail for their actions, and a verdict was reached. After the Metal Wars would draw to and end, the YB and the SWDF would be merged. This was not only in light of the clone's actions, but also in the recent breakup of the YB core members.

The SWDF stood on the main front of the Metal War, although intrusions by the X-Nauts crippled their warfleets. When the Metal Army invaded Star World, they were prepared, holding against impossible odds to beat back the invaders. Although they sent generals and platoons of soldiers to help in the invasion of Mekkai proper, most of their forces stayed behind to reconstruct the homeland.

After Mekkai fell, the SWDF had very little time to rest. The DPC laid siege to Star World, cutting off the planet not only from the bulk of the Alliance of Worlds fleet en route from Mekkai. The SWDF concentrated on four fronts, Mushroom Kingdom, Dinosaur Island, the Koopa Kingdom, and Beanbean Kingdom. Meanwhile, separate small outposts would defend other cities such as Rougeport and Isle Delfino. The defense worked, and the Dark Perforation Army was pushed from the planet. The SWDF then devised the assault on the Dark Perforation's castle, which, with the help of Pokeworld Defensive Forces, ended in a victory.

Now the SWDF are charged with cleaning up the remaining Metal Army forces. There is an uneasy peace on Star World now, thought there is peace. Only time will tell when the next big threat appears to challenge the SWDF again.

Technology
The SWDF's technology is mostly based off of it's allies. When the Galactic Federation discovered Star World, they quickly adapted to their weaponry. The SWDF, however, always adds their own twist, combining different and radical technologies to make a better product. What makes them even more formidable is their ability to mass produce these technologies. Even after crushing defeats, the SWDF can rebuild their armies with ease and retaliate.

As Star World is constantly invaded, the SWDF has to continue to keep up it's strength. Thus, much of the planet's funding is put into technological research, keeping them ahead of their enemies, with limited success.

With the Cyber Bell Vanguard providing technology and weapons. These factors makes this army a formidable force to be reckoned with.
Interactions with Other Characters and Factions
Galactic Federation Marine Corps
Much like Star World and the Galactic Federation in general, the two armies experience a strong alliance, ever since the Federation introduced space travel to Star World in the early 1900s. It is common to see the two working together on the battlefield, as both are leading members of the Alliance of Worlds. Many invasions of Star World have been repelled by aid of the Federation, and many Federation territories have been saved by SWDF intervention.

Yoshi Bodyguards
The relationship between the Yoshi Bodyguards and SWDF has been somewhat speckled. When the clone army was first introduced, there was some skepticism as to the privatization of the military force. This changes during the Dark Ages, when the Yoshi Bodyguards proved their immense loyalty in the SWDF's eyes. Through the FOEA, COUE, and Metal Army, the two fought side by side. Then, on Chronis, contradicting orders lead to the Clone Army attacking the SWDF garrison, killing many. The SWDF retaliated, driving the clones off of the planet. This strained the relationship to the point where the Council called for a merger between the two, dissolving the already near-broken core YBs and bringing the clone army under SWDF rule. Ever since Mekkai and the DPC invasion, the two have proven to be formidable allies, though some distrust of the clones still remains.

Metal Army
The Metal Army was a major enemy of the SWDF. Since Star World was partially responsible for their rise to power, they felt obligated to send forces to aid in the battle against the Metal Army. Indeed, many of the SWDF robots and mechs defected to the Metal Army, namely Ultra Stuffwell. When Star World was devastated by their forces, it was the SWDF who counterattacked, finally destroying Mekkai.

Necrons
Like all living beings, the SWDF are targets for Necron attacks. Very rarely have the SWDF successfully defended from a Necron invasion, and usually end up destroying the planet with nuclear bombardments after the planet's surface becomes devoid of life and the Tomb sect awakens. Only on Wrath of the Titan and Chronis have full Necron awakenings been beaten back, with a Necron God-Artifact being destroyed on Mekkai.

Orks
Orks have been a slight nuance on SWDF shipping routes since the Star World gained the capabilities for space travel. The SWDF devoted forces against several WAAGHs that threatened toppling Federation worlds, but overall, the SWDF consider the Orks a minor menace.

Vhozon
The Vhozon are untrustworthy in the eyes of the SWDF. Several times they have turned on alliances, especially when it comes to the Necrons. Many times, they will approach as friends, while other times they will devote entire warbands to destroying a SWDF presence. As such, hostile action is usually taken when the Vhozon appear.

Confederation of Universal Evil
The COUE was a major enemy of the SWDF, though it was the Yoshi Bodyguards that did the majority of the fighting against them. However, sects of them still remain, especially on or around Star World. Fighting with its remnants is still a major portion of the SWDF's conflict since the fall of the Dark Perforation.

Dark Perforation Army
The DPA invaded Star World once, sealing off a major portion of the SWDF from their home planet. The forces on site retaliated, pushing them off of their world. They did not stop there, however, and drove straight into their fortress, destroying the Dark Perforation with the aid of the Pokeworld Defensive Forces and the Galactic Federation Marine Corps. This was a major moral boost for the people of Star World, and many regiments who served in this battle adopted the mantra, "Victory over Darkness." The Dark Perforation has since been defeated, being one of the few enemies the SWDF has not had to deal with remnants of.

Pokeworld Defensive Forces
The PDF have been a plague on the SWDF in years past. Many situations have called for SWDF support, especially when it involves riots or infiltration of their command structure by criminal organizations. Since the DPC invasion, and the takeover by Cyrus Vance, the PDF has become a more unified force. Now, it has become a close ally to Star World, and the two factions hope to be of more use to eachother in future intergalactic incidents.

Trivia
*The SWDF were based from the Imperial Guard from Warhammer 40k, the normal military force of the series that used similar Lasguns and Flak armor. Though both employ Commissars, the SWDF is considered to be more of a "just" army, using higher quality weapons and more lax on rules and regulations.
*The SWDF went through several changes, originally being named the Yoshi Guardsmen, the volunteer force for the Yoshi Bodyguards. Sub later scrapped this idea, and decided to develop the military of Star World itself.

The Star World Defensive Forces are the main military forces set about to defend the planet and territories of Star World. What it lacks in strength and technological advancements is their numbers, as most of the population is put in service at some point through military drafts (though this does not stop a high volunteer rate). The army itself is headed by the Counsil of Star World, which deals with all affairs of the planet on a galactic level.

Grodus Rising was a single story created by Subsourian used to parallel the X-Naut's quest for the chaos emeralds in The Oddtastic Adventure. It is the story of the seventh, lost emerald, and Grodus's attempts to claim it and the ultimate power that comes from all seven. However, in the end, Grodus found another type of power, one which made him one of the most powerful rulers in the universe.
Background/Prolouge: Midst the Chaos
The story begins three months after The Blackest Days, where Lord Crump's inept leadership ended up crushing the X-Naut Armada on Chronis. Grodus has turned to a new master plan; he would distract the enemies of the X-Nauts with a petty territorial squabble, while he would go after the Chaos Emeralds, seven gems used to achieve ultimate power, which had been scattered in their last attempt to steal them in X-Chaos. Grodus had each one of these emeralds tracked, and was preparing to distract the SWDF, when something went wrong.

The Red Emerald, held in a Galactic Federation research facility, was raided by Ultra Stuffwell and his Steel Legion, who took the emerald and destroyed the facility. Grodus caught wind, but could not track the emerald's signature. Grodus sent his newly promoted second in command and close friend, Admiral Stalvick, to Star World's Fahr Outpost in hopes of finding information on the emerald's whereabouts.

Chapter 1: Winter Assault
At first, the X-Nauts tried an all out assault on Fahr Outpost, but that failed, and almost destroyed Stalvick's forces. They retreated, but were picked up by a rebel group who were wandering the Fahr Wasteland. This group was lead by Litera, and contained several notable members as Eli, a inventor with a shady past, Paper, a former hero now in dire straits, and Amphy and Christopher, two sentient Pokemon who joined to gain wealth, and possible some technology to bring to their homeworld. Litera told Stalvick of a back route to the base, and asked only to join the X-Nauts. Stalvick approved, and formed the first Conscript regiment of the X-Nauts.

When they first reached Fahr, Eli and Paper disorganized the defenders, creating snow drifts that tore down the walls. Then, Amphy and Christopher came in with a double volt tackle, destroying the artillery that had destroyed the X-Nauts before, and disabling the base's power. Then, the X-Nauts came in, cleaning up the defenders. Stalvick then ordered Litera to take his men into the central building, and to secure it's databanks.

When they entered, Paper noted that the building was the Gadd Instillation, a famed military research station founded by Professor Elvin Gadd in his early years. They ran across a strange block, which Christopher activated. The block came to life, revealing itself to be Teen Angst, an information block captured by the SWD. Just then, several soldiers come in to engage them, and Amphy attempted to shock them. He missed, hitting a containment cell, activating it. Inside was a raptor named Ripvor, who killed the SWD troopers and offered his services as a mercenary to the X-Nauts. They agreed, and went on.

Before they reached the terminal, a Church Protectorate member named Sister Maya came to oppose them. The battle was long, and nearly resulted in defeat, but Eli came from behind, freezing her before Litera knocked her out with sleeping powder. Litera declared the place secure, and the X-Nauts quickly raided the computer terminal. Though they did not find any information on the whereabouts of the missing emerald, they found that Doctor Eggaman, famed Mobian scientist and villain, was the leading source on the emeralds. Stalvick ordered all of his forces back to the fleet before the rest of the SWDF came to investigate.

Chapter 2: The Renton Shipyards
The attack on Bowser's Castle had just begun by Mario, creating an international incident on Star World. Grodus made a pact with the Shroobs, and sent the bulk of his fleet to Star World to oversee his operations. However, he was worried about interference from their massive fleet, as they lacked the manpower to take on fleet battles after Chronis. He ordered Stalvick to raid the SWD's primary base at the Renton Shipyards (a formerly secret location, but found when Fahr's databanks were raided) and stall the SWD while taking as many ships as they could. Grodus stated that the first of the Conscript's payment would be any ship they captured personally.

The attack began, where Eli crashed his transport into one of the docks, coming out to steal a Blade Class Cruiser. Upon liberating it, he gave it the name Sylloderriga Jet Mk V. Amphy and Ripvor landed on a nearby dock, where Ripvor destroyed the SWDF cannons while Amphy took care of the transport and it's tech crews. Amphy ran into a Federation Invasionary Transport, naming it EHUSGHVY26UJ79/:blunderface by the random letters he typed in the keypad, while Ripvor took a hidden Merciless Class Stealth Ship, naming it the Raptor. Nearby, the X-Nauts had taken command of a YSS Windfish, the largest vessel every produced in the Alliance of Worlds.

Paper and Litera both landed on a dock, but as they moved to the ship, a cannon bolt blasted apart the dock, almost propelling them into deep space. At the last second, Litera teleported Paper to a nearby Leviathan Battlecruiser. Paper thought it strange that Litera knew magic, but thought little of it, and named his Battlecruiser the Scientifically, Of Course. On another platform, Teen Angst and Christopher moved out, when Teen Angst was hit by sniper fire. Christopher first thought her dead, but then flipped a switch on her back, activating her. Teen Angst declared Christopher her boyfriend, much to his displeasure. Christopher raided a Tempest Class Drone Ship, naming it the Christopher's Fire. Teen Angst came into his ship, before Christopher ejected her into space. She floated into a small Setting Sun Class Vessel, which she named the Totally.

As all of the ships went to the rendezvous point, a large fleet of SWD ships came out of slipspace. This fleet was headed by Birdross, who ordered their surrender. Stalvick taunted him, and the space battle began. paper was hit by a blast from the Twilight of Hope, the SWD flagship, and was almost downed, when he pulled back. Eli and Christopher came in, defending Paper, but just then Christopher decided to hit the capitol ship. However, the ship was too much, and almost destroyed Christopher's Fire, when Teen Angst used her ship's dimensional recall to pull Christopher back. Amphy and Eli were all that were left of the Conscripts, and were pondering hitting the ship's Combo Cannon, when Ripvor's ship came out of nowhere, damaging the ship and destroying the Combo Cannon. Just as the Twilight of Hope was ready to open up it's other batteries, Stalvick's Defender of Heroes flanked the SWD fleet, destroying a bulk of their ships and forcing Birdross to retreat.

Stalvick took all remaining ships, and destroyed the shipyards that remained. Grodus then ordered the fleet to move to Mobius, in order to take what research Eggman had on the emeralds.

Chapter 3: The Secret of Mobius
While Stalvick moved to Mobius, Grodus had already raided Popstar and it's emerald. However, other factions had gotten in on the hunt, including The Yoshi Bodyguards, Cackletta and her allies, Popple, and Bowser. The greatest threat to Grodus, however, is Eggman, who had already claimed an emerald from Star World. Grodus sees Stalvick's raid on Mobius as a chance to catch Eggman off guard, and uncover any projects he may have to turn against him.

When they arrive, the X-Nauts find Mobius is under an invasion by the Metal Army and it's Zinc Legion. The Federation and GUN forces had been dispatched to quell the invasion, but the entire planet was in chaos. Litera states that the invasion is the perfect cover to invade Eggman's Scrap Brain Zone, one of his central manufacturing facilities. Ripvor, Eli, and Christopher are dispatched to the surface, but their transport is shot down by Metal Army raiders. They crash in the streets, and fight off waves of Metal Army soldiers.

Meanwhile, millions of light years away, Doctor Eggman takes notice of the Metal Army attack on his base. He decides to pull his forces back to a central structure, puts up a massive shield, and activates a secret weapon he had been working on in case of such an attack. The central structure activates, and sends out a signal, deactivating all Metal Army forces in the area.

Stalvick calls a meeting with Litera and Grodus, who discuss this new development. Litera suggests that if the SWDF or Galactic Federation got hold of the device, that the cover for their invasion would be blown. Stalvick disagrees, stating they should take the device and use it to disrupt any Metal Army operations that get in their way. Grodus agrees with Litera, and orders a second team into the center of the base to secure the area so the AI Disruptor could be safely dismantled.

Teen Angst and Amphy use the Totally to warp behind the energy shield, and move through a wave of Badniks to destroy the shield generator. Teen Angst accidentally uploads a virus in the computer terminal, which overloads the generator, destroying it. Later, Litera, Eli, and a group of X-Nauts run into the AI Disruptor, and clear it our, battling a Metal Shadow that defended the base's computer terminal. The terminal states that Eggman, too, does not know where the seventh emerald is, but a scientist named Tabbir Whirl did, and Eggman wanted his research. Litera calls for explosives, but is relived by a group of Elite X-Nauts under Stalvick, who say they will dismantle the Disruptor. The group pulls back, and discusses how to get a hold of Whirl.

Chapter 4: The Hunt for Whirl
As Grodus's crusade for the emerald continues, all factions step up their efforts to find all seven chaos emeralds. Recently, however, the Shroobs and the X-Nauts have broken their pact, depriving them of a good portion of their primary fleet.

Meanwhile, hidden above Mobius, the X-Nauts discuss how to capture Whirl. Stalvick states that they should first destroy the communication's terminal for the Federation, where all of their efforts are being coordinated. Litera and Eli, being the only humans, use captured Federation armor and a stolen dropship, and sneak into the communication terminal, first finding a transmission stating Whirl was in Station Square, the most defended location on the planet. Litera and Eli destroy the terminal, but just then, an air raid siren sounds. The two run to their transport, flying away just as a nuclear blast devastates the Federation position.

Back on the Defender of Heroes, Stalvick shows that it was the Metal Army who had used nuclear arms on the Federation base. Without their communication's network, they did not have the ability to counter the missiles. To make matters worse, they had twenty more prepared, many of them set on Station Square. Stalvick states that if Whirl dies, their operation is a failure. The remaining Federation forces and the GUN Defenders were planning a last ditch attack on the nukes, but the base's defenses were still up. He orders Ripvor, Paper, and Amphy to destroy their central shockwave air defense cannons before the attack begins.

When they reach the surface, the three fight through Metal lines, set up plasma charges, and destroy the cannons. Just as they leave, the Federation/GUN forces fly in, bombing the base and destroying the nukes before they could launch and detonate. This puts the Zinc Legion on the run, but Whirl is still hidden behind Federation lines.

Stalvick reviews some of the stolen transmissions, and locates the laboratory of Whirl. He searches for a mysterious item of importance to Whirl, one that required the Federation to keep the lab secret. Stalvick sends Teen Angst and Christopher to take the lab, where they find Whirl's female companion, Evelyn. Just as they were going to secure her, Metal Chaos appeared, disarming the X-Nauts and beating Christopher to submission. Christopher then notices an unarmed grenade that stuck in his back, and sent a thunderbolt at it, blowing Metal Chaos apart. Christopher then calls for Stalvick, saying he has Evelyn secure. Stalvick had her chained, and sent a message over her private communicator to Whirl: Come here alone with your research on the emeralds, or Evelyn dies.

Whirl came, meeting Stalvick and his fleet of ships. At first, the deal was going smoothly, despite Glerk's worry. Then, Stalvick EMPed Whirl's ship, promptly flanking him with a bigger force. He stated that Whirl would be captured, and awaited trial by Grodus. Just then, Coshi came in with a fleet of Yoshi Bodyguard ships. He had been sent to help against the Metal Army, but noticed the X-Nauts, and stalked their operations, intervening when he saw fit. He beat back the X-Nauts, using clone troopers to take Evelyn. As the Conscript's tried to get her back, Metal Chaos got in the way, allowing them to take her to their Pelican and back to Coshi's ship. When Whirl's group was safe, he used three Setting Sun Class Ships to teleport away. Stalvick demanded that they be tracked, and Whirl be taken.

Chapter 5: Revelation
While Stalvick tracked Whirl, Grodus was setting plans in motion to claim all six emeralds in one strike. He is pressed for time, and demands that Stalvick secure the seventh emerald. He tracks them to a unknown planet near Holocate, where a Yoshi Bodyguard base is set, as well as oddly dormant Metal Army forces. Grodus himself orders Litera and Stalvick to make sure the Metal Army don't interfere, while the Conscripts find the research, kill Coshi, and take Whirl and his group alive.

The conscripts drop in the middle of a battle between Metal and YB forces, where Eli teleports them back near the target. They infiltrate their way deep into the base, where Whirl was showing his research to Coshi. The Conscripts made it to the computer terminal, where they found the emerald to be on Alinos, in the middle of a large Metal Army fleet. Just as they were going to contact Grodus, Coshi came in, and a battle ensued. Half way through, sirens sounded, and Coshi disengaged from them. The data uploaded to Grodus, and Stalvick congratulated them, saying that the mission was a success. However, the success was cut short. Stalvick noticed that the entire Metal Army legion stationed on the planet had begun to attack from Litera's position, and yet Litera had moved his forces away. Stalvick contacted Litera, who stated he had seen no Metal forces in his area, and when ordered to move back into position, stated the signal was fading, and he would establish contact later. Stalvick ordered the Conscripts to evacuate the planet, and stated he had a personal matter to attend to.

The Conscripts moved through the base, which was being bombarded by Metal Army artillery soon after the transmission ended. They reached the rooftop, where they met Coshi, who was evacuating Whirl's group. Eli tried to attack him, but was shot by his gunblade, hitting his leg. This bought them enough time to lift off, and, after some risky flying, Coshi took Whirl to his flagship, the Great Panaj. Jet Gundam then took the ship out of orbit, and sped into hyperspace toward Star World.

In the meantime, the Conscripts fought off several Ariel Zaku Troopers before a dropshop, commanded by Litera, came down to pick them up, Oddly enough, no Metal Army forces opposed them as they regrouped with the remains of the fleet. Litera informed the Conscripts that Stalvick had betrayed them, and they had to regroup with Grodus. Eli was skeptical, but his injury prevented him from saying anything.

Chapter 6: Traitor's Hand
On Star World, Grodus defeated Eggman and Cackletta, gaining six of the seven emeralds. He was ready to return to the fleet, when every opposing faction ganged up on him in a last ditch effort to gain the emerald. Grodus activated the six of them he had, but it wasn't enough. Grodus was defeated, and the most of the Secret Society was captured by the SWDF, but Grodus returned to the remains of the fleet, who were escaping from the Distant Planet, looking for Stalvick.

Grodus tracked Stalvick's ships to Hylia's Moon, where a base camp had been set up. Grodus was willing to forgive Stalvick, until he found a recreated AI Disruptor, exactly like the one Stalvick was ordered to destroy on Mobius, on the moon's surface. Litera convinces Grodus to have him and the Conscripts raid the Disruptor and kill Stalvick.

The Conscripts arrive, setting down near the base of the Disruptor. They encounter no resistance until they actually entire the complex. X-Nauts loyal to Stalvick fight them back, and the Conscripts attempt to use stun weapons to move them aside. They find a computer terminal, and after fighting with the security systems, find the Magnus von Grapple bay as well as the location of Stalvick. When they reach the repair bay, they are forced to fight skill Grapple pilots, and are almost beaten, when Teen Angst's phone drops. Teen Angst goes into a violent rage, and destroys the enemy Grapples.

The group reaches Stalvick, when Litera tells them to stay back. He alone went in, and confronted Stalvick, shooting him in the side. In his dying breath, Stalvick contacts Grodus, telling him that Litera was the real traitor, and that he came to activate the one hope they had to finishing their operation. He asks Grodus to find the seventh emerald, and let his death go avenged. After he dies, Grodus attempts to find Litera, but cannot. However, as he searches, the reactor core on the Disruptor is set to overload.

The Conscripts and the remaining X-Nauts move through the Disruptor, when Metal Army forces randomly appear and breach the walls of the Disruptor, affirming Litera's connection with the Metal Army. After a long run, Paper reaches the override terminal, and shuts the core down. Grodus congratulates them, and tells them he will keep the Disruptor under guard. For now, they were to move out to Alinos.

Chapter 7: The Fist of Grodus
On Alinos, the Metal Army fleet was in chaos. The AI Disruptor had instantly deactivated 70% of their forces, causing entire supercarriers to plummet to the planet. Just then, Grodus's forces came in, and beat through the remaining fleet to reach the surface.

Grodus, aboard his new flagship, the Might of Grodus, consulted with TEC-X3 on the situation. He contacted each Conscript on their mission. Teen Angst and Ripvor were to destroy their turret arrays, Christopher and Amphy were to destroy their factory complex, and Eli and Paper were to destroy the shield generator around the main complex. Grodus informs them that their contract expires after this mission, and that they were free to go with his best wishes.

First to land were Teen Angst and Ripvor, who were pinned down by turrets made out of nano-bots. Try as they may, the turrets would not be destroyed, and reformed from any battle damage. Ripvor attempted to speed past them, carrying Teen Angst, but before they got to the Nanobot Nerve Center, a group of turrets prevented him from moving. Then, Teen Angst's ringtone sounded, temporary destabilizing the turrets, and Ripvor made it to the Nerve Center with demolition. There, he found a strange computer, mentioning a powerful robot buried under the planet and an "Ultimate AI" they had taken the emerald to perfect. Ripvor thought nothing of it, and destroyed the Nerve center, disabling the first line of the bases defenses.

Second to land were Christopher and Amphy, who landed in the factory district, only to find all of the defenders disabled from the AI Disruptor. When investigating further, they accidentally activated a power generator, awakening a massive Metal Army Champion named Sinanju. Amphy challenged him to a rock off, with Amphy and Christopher coming from behind to beat him. Sinanju reneged on his deal, and set to destroy them, but as he prepared to fire, X-Naut reinforcements came in and pounded him into scrap. When the dust settled, Christopher and Amphy both walked off, victorious.

Last to land were Eli and Paper, set to destroy the shield surrounding the central base, when they encountered resistance from Doctor Albert. He ripped off the necklace from Eli's neck, which caused him to pass out into a seizure-like state. While Paper and Doctor Albert fought, Eli transformed into a strange demon, who called himself Garzon. Garzon destroyed the generator, and forced Doctor Albert to retreat. Just as he was about to beat Paper, Paper called in an airstrike on Garzon, stunning him long enough to put the necklace around him. Garzon changed shape again, this time into a being named Rasuke, who explained that Eli, Garzon, and him inhabited the same being. The necklace imprisoned both Rasuke and Garzon, keeping Eli stable. Rasuke then warned Paper that what they're doing was wrong, and would cause great calamity to their universe. Just then, Eli regained control, and the two moved on, heading toward the central base that was now open to attack.

Meanwhile, Ripvor and Teen Angst waded their way through the streets, defeating several Gouf Ranger snipers who had the southern approach pinned down. Christopher and Amphy approached from the west, and used a double volt tackle to break through the trench lines. Both of them collapsed in front of the central black pyramid. Eli and Paper came from the east, beating Metal Army forces through the streets of the city.

Eventually, they all met at a massive black pyramid that made up the central base. All around it, Steel Legion Champions stood. The Conscripts fought hard, but could not get through the Champions. As they were about to be defeated, Grodus arrived in the Magnus von Tyrant and a platoon of X-Naut Elites. The Steel Legion Champions were defeated, and Grodus took the citadel in his name.

What they found, however, was greater than Grodus dreamed. The emerald was being used to power a massive supercomputer, one unparalleled to any in the known universe. It could take control of Metal Army forces, and coordinate assaults perfectly. The dilluted signal and the strong signature masking equipment prevented the AI or the emerald from being found. Grodus pondered this, when he was told Metal forces were massing outside the citadel.

The X-Nauts formed up, but the two factions did not engage each other. Doctor Albert and Litera first moved forward, meeting Grodus. Grodus exchanged insults with Litera, before Litera revealed himself to be the reformed Cosmic Subsourian, made an android by Metal Army technology. However, he spoke of another greater leader, and a robot named Omega stepped forward, greeting Grodus, and stating he was heir to the Metal throne. He said that, when Grodus least expected it, he would take back the Ultimate AI and destroy the AI Disruptor. Then, the Litera opened a portal away, and Doctor Albert, Litera, and Omega stepped through, but not before Omega quipped to Grodus that Stalvick was twice the man he was, and he was glad Grodus saved him the trouble of killing him. The two factions then fought, the remaining Metal Army forces being grossly outnumbered, but Grodus returned to his throne, content on his victory.

Epilouge: The Rise of the X-Nauts
The story ended with Grodus sitting in the massive citadel, next to the central computer. The AI itself was being fused with TEC-X3, allowing Grodus to control it. As TEC-X3 accessed it's systems, the base began to rise from the ground, forming into the mighty Citadel of Ultima. As the citadel rose, the defeated Metal Army soldiers rose again, serving under the control of the AI.

Meanwhile, the discharged Conscripts were flying off from Alinos in their new ships. Eli headed for Star World, seeking to find the Yoshi Bodyguards. Christopher and Amphy headed to Pokeworld to sell what arms they had gained from the battle, and eventually headed to Star World as well. Teen Angst tried to follow Christopher, but ended up causing a temporal rift that threw her through a gap in time and space. Ripvor drifted off to Rareworld, leaving the X-Nauts in order to find out what happened to his tribe. Paper decided just to drift off into space, going wherever he may end up.

The story ended with TEC-X3 finishing a download of files on the last TEC models. However, upon finding TEC-XX's file, he encountered an error. A swift recovery of files resumed the download with no visible issue, but then TEC-X3 uttered the name "Princess Peach."

Trivia
*The idea story for the seventh emerald was given to Sub by Top, who wanted him to make a story around the emerald put in Federation territory during The Oddtastic Adventure. Sub had planned for a story named Blood Emerald, tying in the Metal Wars to Top's story, but after he realized it had too much military combat for even himself, Sub scrapped the idea, picking it up again much later.
*The idea for the story started when Sub was playing Starcraft: Brood War and realized how one of the characters, Admiral DuGalle, was similar to Grodus personality-wise. The plot was based on his story in Episode V: The Iron Fist.
*In addition, Stalvick and Litera were also based of characters from the campaign, Vice-Admiral Stukov and Samir Duran, respectively.
*Originally, the story was supposed to be extended much further, but after the Metal War Climax came later than expected, Sub broke the story up into two parts, one coming after the Climax is finished.
*Litera was not planned to be Cosmic Sub in the original plotline, however, half way through Sub toyed with the idea of keeping his Cosmic form alive, and due to it's appearance in X-Chaos, Sub through him fitting to the plot.
*There were several parts scrapped after their creation in the story. 5-1 and 5-4, for example, were almost completely changed from the planned idea after Sub realized they sucked.
*Sub didn't know about Eli's split personalities until the beginning of Chapter 7, and thus never referenced it until the beginning of the chapter.
*Omega was not supposed to even be referenced until after the Metal Wars Climax, but Sub decided to introduce him early as a new antagonist of the X-Nauts.

Connections to Other Stories
*The entire story parallels Oddtastic Adventure, giving the perspective of how the X-Nauts would find the seventh chaos emerald that was lost in Federation Territory. In addition, it continues the X-Naut saga from stories like The Blackest Days and X-Chaos.
*The story is to be continued in one named Omega, giving the story of the Metal Army forces attempting to overthrow Grodus and his AI.
*In Mobius Chaos Episode II: Decisive Plan! The Finale of Black Cat Slike!, Slike went to Alinos to claim the seventh emerald, breaking through the Citadel of Ultima and deactivating TEC-X3. However, after Slike was imprisoned, the emerald came back to Alinos, thus allowing the X-Nauts to continue their operations.
*Ripvor's story was continued in Revenge on SWDF, where him, his ship and several Conscripts were reintroduced.
*Teen Angst's appearance would be explained in Wiggly Jr.: Second Journey, where the SWDF captured her after the story's conclusion.
*The story itself tied into the Metal Wars Climax, where the Metal Army's loss of forces and technology left them at a disadvantage durring the invasion phase.
*Christopher and Amphy would still have the fortune they obtained at the end of the story durring The Great Creator & The Great Destroyer, their next appearance after Grodus Rising.
*Eli would appear again in Endless Mystery, along with Amphy, Paper, and Christopher.
Story

Grodus pondered this, when he was told Metal forces were massing outside teh citadel.

Trivia
*The idea story for the seventh emerald was given to Sub by Top, who wanted him to make a story around the emerald put in Federation territory durring The Oddtastic Adventure.
