	In recent times before this story began, Top had started acting more serious than normal. No one was sure why, although Oshy suggested it might have something to do with Dark Top, since he and Light Top were still split. Then, while Oshy was flipping through some news channels, they suddenly came across a news bulletin announcing a group of robots were attacking Peach's Castle! Once they realized the Chaos Emeralds were still there, the YB quickly sprang into action. Well, Topmonhit and [[User:~~Danny~~\|Danny]]'s characters did. 	At the castle, they encountered a robot of Espio, Metal Espio. It quickly attacked them, then ran off, assumably going to the Chaos Emerald safe. When the YB arrived, however, the safe suddenly blasted open. Metal Knuckles and Metal Espio jumped out and blasted off with rockets, escaping with the emeralds. Soon after, all monitors in the Mushroom Kingdom (and, for some reason, in the YB HQ) became staticy and Metal Sonic appeared on them, threatening to destroy the Mushroom Kingdom if they don't surrender. They quickly returned to the HQ for a bit, and while there Top took the Dark Chaos Emerald they had found during the Dark Ages to fight the Chaos Emeralds Metal Sonic had.		At the castle, they encountered a robot of Espio, Metal Espio. It quickly attacked them, then ran off, assumably going to the Chaos Emerald safe. 	Just when Metal Sonic's cannon was fully charged, the Chaos Creature, only now black with red eyes, smashed into the ship and into the cannon, causing it to fire in the wrong direction! It then took the 7 Chaos Emeralds and escaped. The YB hurried back to their ships, and while Metal Sonic escaped, they now had Dark Perfect Chaos to deal with. By grabbing the Chaos Emeralds that now had lost their negative energy, they were able to supercharge the [[Echo Star]] and defeat Dark Perfect Chaos, sending it back into the Master Emerald. 			But was it over? Not by a long shot! While the chaos energy was returning to the Master Emerald, Dark Top quickly jumped into it, absorbing all the chaos energy! He flew out to the Echo Star to attempt to pummel them, now with the Master Emerald and Dark Chaos Emerald energy. Light Top took the 7 normal Chaos Emeralds and used them to become Super Light Top; the two of them engaged in a fierce battle until finally while they were pushing against each other, there was a bright flash of light and then Top began falling.

			Top landed on Danny's head when he fell, and was unconscious. Before they could rush him to the infirmary of the HQ, however, Top woke up, yelling "PHISH" and acting odd once more, showing that Light and Dark Top had fused once more. As for the location of the Chaos Emeralds, they had once more scattered...

			*Metal Vector's only line in the story was "FIND THE COMPUTER ROOM111!1!!1!!" a reference to a quote said by Vector the Crocodile in Shadow the Hedgehog.

			*Dark Top's last appearance was during the Dark Ages, when [[Federation of Evil Acquaintances]] disbanded. This, along with the Dark Chaos Emerald that first appeared at that time, makes this story part of the wrapping up of various Dark Ages side events.
			*Metal Sonic would return in [[The Plot of Evil Dreams]], working with all of the other villains.
			*Slike would eventually help [[Cackletta]], [[Fawful]] and [[Gruntilda Winkybunion]] steal the Master Emerald in The Plot of Evil Dreams, and he would attempt to steal it once more in [[Mobius Chaos Episode I: The New Master Plan]].
			*Yet another connection to The Plot of Evil Dreams is that Dark Top would next appear in that story.
			*The Chaos Emeralds would not appear again until [[Tihnompot: Witchy Fury]].
