	On the final island, the kidnapper revealed to be not-so-nice and sent a Sableye, Dusclops and Banette after the YB. They were defeated, but then Octbert appeared out of nowhere and attacked the YB. He was eventually defeated, after which the final fight appeared--Nocktor. He revealed to have been playing the YB for saps (not a whole lot given the YB found out about the shards' power earlier) and was going to use the crystal to give himself near-infinite power. 			Originally, the rock island occured first. Later, Topmonhit decided to have the revealing of the shards' power after a few islands.

			When the story first began to be planned, one of the islands was in fact a normal-type island, and it had a Lopunny on it. The Lopunny would have ended up following the YB, and Topper would have fallen in love with her, bringing up his love problems long before they finally did. There would be love shapes, however, as the Lopunny would have instead fallen in love with Sneen, who would not have returned the feelings (this was before the conceptualization of Leila, and [[Belle]] was still the focus). Topmonhit is unsure as to how he would have had it go, and is now very glad he didn't do that, as Sneen has had a happily ever after and Topper has a much better plan planned for him.

			There may have been other beta elements, but Topmonhit can not remember.

			One day, the YB find out Yoshi has, once again, been kidnapped. This time, however, the kidnapper contacts the YB, and explains they mean no harm; instead, they simply kidnapped Yoshi to get their attention so that they would go to the Pokéworld and collect eight badge-like items for the kidnapper. Even though it made no sense, the YB obliged.

			The first island that the item was located was filled with grass types. The grass types had them battle a single Pokémon, however: A Shaymin. However, during the battle, it was revealed to just be a Cherubi in disguise, so then the real battle began against a Venusaur (the leader), a Vileplume, and apparently Chemoly. The group won, and was given the item: A shard of some sort of shiny stone...

			In the second island, the YB found flying types. They battled Ferdinand, the leader, a Ninjask, and a Jumpluff. The YB won and recieved the next shard.

			On the 3rd island, the YB discovered rock types, and battled against a Kabutops named Tops (the leader), a Cradily, and an Aerodactyl. During the fight, however, the YB learned the shards were in fact of a powerful crystal, not just some fancy trinkets. However, there was also a prophecy that the crystal would be obtained by some heroes, but because Tops couldn't be completely certain they were the heroes, they still had to fight on each island. They won and recieved the 3rd shard.

			On island 4, the YB found it had dragons, and they battled against Tragon, the leader, and two other Pokémon (it is unknown what they were).

			On island 5, the YB battled against the leader, a Quagsire, Octbert, and a Wailord named Mickey Doe. Although they won, after leaving, Octbert mysteriously disappeared...

			On the 6th island, which held Ice types, the YB battled an Abomasnow as the leader, a Glalie, and the legendary Pokémon Articuno. They still were able to win and get the 6th shard.

			On island 7, the YB fought against electric types: the leader, an Elekid, Tron, and Zapdos. They won and got the 7th shard, leaving only one more left.
