The YBs attacked Sango, but their attacks were mostly ineffective. Sango seemingly killed Anubis, and then ate him; V-Mos found Sango's eyes to be a weak spot, but Sango knocked him away. Shuy went looking for him, and though he found him, was distracted by an explosion when the YB defeated Sango; when he looked back, V-Mos was gone. Anubis revealed to still be alive, but now infected with phazon, though willingly and attempting to control it. Anubis sent Shuy to find the wolf queen, Saarlos, but was unable to because she was hiding from Anubis while he was using phazon. Anubis then attempted to train Shuy to use phazon in his body instead of becoming sick from it.
