[[Cackletta]] and [[Fawful]] stole it once, and because the only voice that could awaken it was Princess Peach's, they also tried to steal her voice, but their plan fell apart due to Prince Peasley knowing of their plan beforehand. At one point, [[Federation of Evil Acquaintances]] stole it, but then Metal Top stole it from them and used a speech given by Peach to awaken it. The Yoshi Bodyguards showed up, wanting the Star Rod to help because [[Metal Top]] had awoken the [[Beanstar\|#Beanstar]], but because the Star Rod was shattered, the YB had to go collect the pieces.
