			Dimentio teleported in, and Bowser yelled at him; Oshy noted that Dimentio hadn't put Dark Top in a magic barrier, but Dimentio said he hadn't the need, and Dark Top revealed he had planned to betray Bowser from the start. Bowser was enraged, but Dark Top was nonchalont as he said he had another castle to take over; the castle began to shake and a large mech--a modified Metal Top--came crashing in and Dark Top got in, saying he had rebuilt it into a personal mech. Dark Top asked Dimentio to take care of them while he went to take over Bowser's Castle, and left.

			Dimentio did indeed plan to "take care of them" but in a rather explosive way. He planned to kill all of them, however, including Light Top, so that he wouldn't have to share the spotlight with Dark Top. Dimentio snapped his fingers, and a nuke was sent into the room; one of the very same nukes that disappeared from the SWDF stockpile. Just when Dimentio was about to set it off, however, he was hit by a barrage of ice bullets and frozen.

			Chills Pacone and his mafia then came in and Chills said he had heard that Dark Top was here, and Dimentio freezing caused his magic barriers to dissipate. The other barrier was taken down, and Sub said he was going to kill Dark Top, but Sunset reminded him they can't do that or Light Top will die. Light Top said he was the only one who could defeat Dark Top, though, using the power of sacrifice. At Bowser's Castle, Dark Top was blasting all the Koopa Troop there around. He said it was being made too easy when seven fireballs hit the Metal Top mech, knocking it back a little, and the Koopalings showed up. They weren't about to let Dark Top take over the place, but Dark Top was ready to fight them.

			Having defeated the Koopalings, Dark Top was about to begin taking over the castle when he saw the 8th Koopaling, Bobbington. The two asked who each other were, and Dark Top said he was about to be the new ruler of the castle. Bobbington was fine with that, as he didn't like the dump anyway and was just there to get some chicken as he had ran out at his volcano base that didn't exist in that dimension. Unfortunately for him, Dark Top had already taken all the chicken, which angered him to the poin where he used a smash ball to bring forth a massive turret while referencing [[The 1576 Kingdom]] a bunch of times.

			The two began to fight, but because Bobbington's was from a Smash Ball, Dark Top's attacks failed until he bounced Bobbington's attacks back and destroyed his turret, winning. With Bobbington defeated, nothing stood in Dark Top's way... except for Light Top, who called for a final 1-1 battle with no Metal Top mech. Dark Top jumped out and the two immediately began to battle with hammers, Light Top using Gallameria and Dark Top using Dark Gallameria.

			They began their stupid light/dark side dialogue, as Light Top told Dark Top the reason he never won was sacrifice. Specifically, if Light Top kills Dark Top, Dark Top's plan is ruined even if Light Top dies. If Dark Top kills Light Top, however, Dark Top still dies and his plan is ruined. Therefore, Light Top can go on full throttle while Dark Top has to limit himself; with his knowledge, Dark Top became angrier, realizing his plan would fail with Light Top in his way, and the two did one final epic attack.

			Not long after, Topper was called and he grabbed a flower but tossed it before it shot something at him. Oshy told him that actually was his Palladium Fire Flower, though, and Topper answered it. It was Top; Light Top and Dark Top had been merged, and he was being chased by the Koopa Troop. Thus, they hurried over there to pick Top up. The Mushroom Kingdom was freed from Dark Top, given he was now inside Top, but Dimentio had disappeared. Chills still wanted revenge, but returned to Shiver Star, and the treaty between him and Snophia was going well. Popworld was given a new ruler, this one not a part of an evil plot.

			Light Top and Dark Top made a truce once more, with Dark Top realizing that when Light Top was around he couldn't win. Top went back to being his old zany self, and finally, Bowser and his troops returned to his castle, humiliated once again. Just when Bowser got back to his castle, the door burst open and a Koopa Clown Car with red eyes flew away; it was Metal Top, who had hacked itself into the clown car, spoke that it would never give up and would always return, even if it was just a computer chip or some wires.

			When the heroes arrived at Peach's castle, they found Bowser sitting on the throne. After yelling at them for breaking the door down, he fell out of the throne, commenting that he would need to get it widened. Sneezier told him not to bother, but then Tron yelled they were about to be trapped, which did indeed occur as an energy shield formed around them. They tried to escape, but someone told them not to bother as a spotlight shone on the throne and on it appeared... Dark Top!

			Dark Top explained that the shield was conjured up by Dimentio, who then teleported in as well, the three of them having worked on this plan together. Sunset was confused, thinking Dark Top had died, and Dark Top began to explain the whole plan to them: Everything about him gaining the people of Popworld's trust and leading them in revolt against Blork was true. After getting relations between Popworld and Star World, he went to Star World to pick up a bunch of newspapers, but while there he secretly visited Bowser and told him about his plan. Liking the plan, Bowser agreed to help out.

			After reading the newspapers, he came across one about The Dark Perforation. Learning about Metal Top, Dark Top then recieved a mysterious gift: The black hole cannon. With that he was able to get to the remains of the Dark Perforation Castle and obtain Metal Top. About the time he returned to Popworld was when Dimentio came to him, also wanting to join the plan. Dark Top refused at first, but then realized Dimentio could lead them away from him, explaining why Metal Top registered them as allies: Dimentio could scramble its circuits to attack them and make Dark Top seem like their ally.

			Dark Top knew they would defeat Metal Top, but this would end up releasing the machinery-deactivating wave planted in Metal Top; Dark Top had complete control over it all along, and never cared for Popworld at all. With that, he had an excuse to declare war on Star World; while the war was going on, Dark Top faked his assassination and escaped to Bowser's Castle while the SWDF formed a new government for Popworld, which Dimentio was able to come in and win the election of. With Dimentio distracting everyone there, Dark Top and Bowser, along with the Koopa Troop, were able to take over the Mushroom Kingdom in their absence.

			At Gisho Castle, Apricot, Oh Gee, Testube and Whacko were watching the news. Toadette reported that they had heard reports that not only was Bowser attacking the kingdom, but Dark Top, who had been reported dead a couple weeks ago, was helping. Hearing this, Oh Gee mused that freezing Light Top (and turning him into a planter) wasn't the best idea. Whacko left to go unfreeze him by taking out The Super Microwave, which Top had never gotten rid of. Apricot was worried that it would blow up, which Whacko was hoping for as he tossed Top inside, but Oh Gee said he had made some modifications to it.

			Outside the castle, a massive pillar of fire was seen erupting upwards from the inside. Back at Peach's Castle, Dark Top was ready to proceed with the next phase of the plan when some crashing sounds from above were heard. Just then something fell through the ceiling, bouncing off Dark Top, and landing in front of them. It was Light Top, who exclaimed The Super Microwave still packed a punch, not only unfreezing him but blasting him all the way to the castle! Unfortunately for him, both Bowser and Dark Top were on the opposite sides of him, ready to fight. Unfortunately, Light Top was at a 1-2 disadvantage, and was pummeled. Eventually hit by a fire cyclone, Light Top was about done for when Kamek and Kammy ran into the room, exclaiming that they were betrayed by Dimentio. Just then a magic barrier formed around Light Top and another around Bowser, Kamek and Kammy.

	In one hour the capital had fallen, and the SWDF used it as an encampment for the time being. Unfortunately, the war was not over as Dark Top was not at the capital at all. 			At Gisho Castle, Light Top was panicking from the news of Dark Top being killed since when a dark side is killed the light side goes soon after. Oshy froze him with an ice egg, however, so that they could try and save him later. With Dark Top killed, the war was essentially over; over the next week Star World shifted to being more of a guardian of Popworld as it began to help reconstruct it and send it on the road to democracy.

			Sort of; they were to have elections, and of course the first nomination was by a party with large connections to Star World; they had nominated Nomin E., a toad. Nomin E. was largely unopposed until a Simirror named Meson showed up, holding viewpoints that different from Nomin E.; namely that Popworld should stay away from Star World to retain its identity. Meson began getting popular with the voters, and on August 29th, 10 days after Dark Top was killed, the night of the big debate came.

			In the meeting hall was a large group of reporters, with the two nominees on the stage behind a podium each. Sub was there as well, having been sent there to overlook reconstruction. Unfortunately for him, the host of the debate ended up being Hey You, who somehow got the job for being impartial. After singing the introduction for the debate, Hey You asked the first question: “If you were a potato, what would you do with the peanut butter factory?” It was the wrong card.

			Hey You then popped up in front of Nomin E. and had him pick a card. Hey You read it: “Chance card. With the attitudes towards Star World that are here right now, what are your opinions on relations with Popstar?” Nomin E.'s answer was that although they must retain ties with Star World, they mustn't forget their other neighbors, which they also have traditions for.

			Next Meson chose a card, which Hey You read: “Community Chest card. What is your stance on some of the Star World Defensive Forces setting up bases in the planet’s capital?” Meson answered that it was not right, and that Popworld shouldn't have to take Star World's military, adding that next they would get some of their terrorists that they can't even handle on their own planet.

			Nomin E.'s next question was “Community Chest! What is you view on the currency used by Popworld?” Nomin E. stated they should use coins, like Star World, and that they didn't even know what currency Popstar used. Hey You whispered to him that they used stars, and Meson commented that would make Popstar richer than Star World, as generally twenty coins are worth a star. This was not technically true (as Star World stars are quite different from the Popstar ones), but Meson neglected to mention that.

			Next Hey You had Meson draw another card, and Hey You exclaimed it was Chance Time. A fancy backdrop came down and three spinning blocks appeared; at this point, Sub noted, Hey You was making a mockery of it all. Hey You had Meson hit the three blocks, which landed on Nomin E. giving one star to Meson, which then occured. Nomin E. was confused, but Meson said that though it wasn't worth much, he would take it. With that, they were out of words, and Hey You reminded everyone to vote the next day.

			With the highest voter turnout in Popworld history (of course it was the only election in Popworld history), someone impartial, instead of the SWDF, was assigned to tally all the votes. In other words, Hey You got the job. Finally, after tallying them all, he wrote on a chalkboard that both nominees had more votes than the entire population of Popworld. Unsure of whom the better cheater was, Hey You asked The Cheat, who decided on Meson as the better cheater and thus the winner.

			After Hey You announced this result, Sub left to the presidential castle (formerly the castle Dark Top lived in). There, Meson was immediately getting to work on a celebration party. It was more of inviting the top officials of the planet, as well as some top SWDF officers who were there, to explain what he would be doing as president. When Sub arrived, Meson called him the Sandwich Sorcerer and all the doors and windows shut and locked. "Meson" floated into the air and cast the simirror robes aside, revealing his true form, Dimentio!

			Sub realized Popworld had one of Star World's terrorists already, and threw a Flux Ball at Dimentio. Dimentio now ruled Popworld, but Sub wasn't about to let that happen. At Gisho Castle, Topper was at his computer when he heard his Palladium Fire Flower ring. He was about to grab it when he realized he was about to grab a fire flower; not wanting to grab that again, he instead grabbed... an ice flower accidently, which froze him. Oshy took the actual Palladium Fire Flower and answered it; after learning what the situation was at Popworld, a team was quickly assembled to go fight Dimentio. Meanwhile, at Bowser's Castle, Bowser was angry at someone; a big plan had not yet started, yet it had been a month. A mysterious voice told him that it would soon be ready, as soon as the heroes went to Popworld.

			At the Popworld Presidential Castle, Dimentio was battling against Sub and other SWDF soldiers there; Dimentio kept forming copies of himself to attack multiple times, but eventually the door burst open as the cavalry arrived. Meanwhile, outside Peach's Castle, a group of toad guards were walking around when a bullet bill hit them, blasted them away. Without warning a fleet of Koopa Cruisers began to attack the castle, with the head of the fleet directly overhead, and a pod dropped down into the castle.

			Back at Popworld, Dimentio formed a magic box which had a Dimentio head on a spring, like a jack-in-a-box. After a few hits on the head, it went back into the box and began to pound the ground, forming shockwaves. When the box opened up again, confetti came out and instead of a Dimentio head energy spheres hit everyone. Sera noticed, however, a crank on the side, and began to turn it like a jack-in-the-box. The others realized what she was doing and helped, eventually sending the head back out. Enough hits on it finally defeated Dimentio, but Dimentio noted that he foresaw great power with Sera, and foreshadowed what the future may hold for her. He then teleported away, saying he would return. Just then Scorch recieved a message through his battle armor, and exclaimed "Bowser WHAT!?"

			When news of the declaration of war reached Star World, panic began to spread. Five seconds later, they realized Popworld had never had wars within itself, let alone other planets, and that it should be a cakewalk. Instead of getting clearance to use nukes, they sent the 1st Chronis Liberators, led by Comissar-General Banir. They planned to go in quickly, end the war, and replace Dark Top with someone more inclined towards Star World. They arrived a couple days after the declaration by Dark Top.

			Soon after the regiment landed at Popworld, however, they were attacked. During the ensueing fight, a heavy knight appeared that caused a number of fatalities, but it eventually went down. After that, the regiment began to head to the capital, but along the way they heard a loud motor start up, and Banir exclaimed that there was something there that Popworld should have. The part ended without a clear indication of what occured.

			Once the news that the regiment was in shambles reached the SWDF, they were planning to simply nuke the planet Popworld. However, they were unable to when they found every stockpile of nukes they had disappeared! Without those, they simply had to send in their top men to end this silly war quickly. A few days later, at Popworld Forest, Sub, Scorch, Tron, and other SWDF soldiers were fighting against a group of Popworld soldiers. Sub was nearly hit with a rocket when Sneezier jumped in front of it and inhaled it, having gotten Top and Topper to babysit Sera (unfortunately).

			After a while the Popworld forces began losing when a massive laser shot by them all, tearing through a large group of SWDF soldiers that ripped off their skin and organs, leaving bones. A massive cylindrical tank that was glowin blue and glided across the ground with a massive cannon on it and an Orbison running it on the top came through the trees. This was The Eradicator, Popworld's superweapon. Unfrotunately, just below the cannon, was a red, glowing spot, the obvious weak point.

			The Eradicator needed time to charge, so the Orbison fired magic shots at them while they attempted to attack it, but a couple hits were made. The cannon charged up, however, and fired once more; after wondering if the beam worked on robots, Tron spoke up and fired zap cannons everywhere until one hit the Orbison, which became paralyzed. Without a working pilot, The Eradicator stopped and they were able to destroy it. With that, they marched on to the Popworld Capital.

			Blork asked them if they really trusted Dark Top, and Light Top was the first to answer no. Blork suggested they work together to overthrow Dark Top, and he was willing to let someone else rise to power and he would just stop being an outlaw. Team TOT and the others were about to consider it when something small and shiny screamed by overhead and fired bullets, missiles and energy blasts everywhere. One of the missiles flew right into Blork's mouth, who suspected this to be a trick and a surprise attack, but the missile completely blew him up, killing him and sending his guts everywhere.

			As the encampment went into a panic, the thing that opened fire on it landed on the ground, causing Light Top to scream in anger. It was Metal Top, standing in front of them, but with blue eyes. They prepared for another fight when Metal Top spoke that its directive, to destroy Blork, was complete. It then scanned Light Top and registered him as an ally, confusing everyone; Sub mused someone must have found it and reprogrammed it, and Metal Top stated it was returning to "Master Dark Top's" castle. This confused Light Top even more.

			They then heard a voice call out, and dimensions warped as Dimentio teleported into the area! Everyone went on high alert, but Dimentio said he was only there to visit, and since they have had it too easy so far, he decided to give them a real challenge. He scrambled Metal Top's circuits and teleported away, and Metal Top's eyes went purple and went on the attack. It began to battle them, and during the fight it fired an energy blast directly at Sera.

			A gloved appendage (a leg, to be exact), came out and grabbed the blast, stopping it from hitting Sera; this was from Hey You, who then threw the blast back at Metal Top. Metal Top retaliated with a missile that blasted Hey You into a tree. After a few more attacks, Hey You came back through a warp pipe, now with a referee uniform, and announced the round was over and declared Not-Metal Top the winner, which was recieved with an energy blast from Metal Top. After Top hid in his hat, a series of attacks finally did Metal Top in as its eyes shut off.

			One thing that worried them, however, was why Dimentio showed up, but then Metal Top spoke up again, stating that its backup files were found and the system restore was finished. Metal Top then stood up, its eyes red again, and saw them. It was at first confused as to what happened, but after being told that The Dark Perforation was destroyed, it simply laughed. Now that The Dark Perforation was gone, it was its own master and could do its own bidding, and would begin by destroying them. It then noticed a new file, however, called diment.exe. It opened it, and suddenly it began to spark; it was lifted into the air and a massive energy wave came out from it, spreading across the planet.

			No one felt anything except for Stuffwell, Sneezier, Scorch and Tron; Stuffwell and Tron deactivated, while the other machinery deactivated as well. Sub quickly teleported them to their ships before the wave arrived and they hurried off the planet. Watching the planet from space, they knew all the machinery would deactivate on it... figuring diment.exe was Dimentio's doing, Light Top decided Dimentio did something good for once, as Dark Top would be unable to do anything now.

			At Gisho Castle, in Oh Gee's lab, Top was havin Oh Gee fix Stuffwell from the deactivation. Topper, meanwhile, was wondering how Popworld was faring without technology. The answer was not very well, for over the next several days the people of the planet began getting restless. To calm down the masses, Dark Top decided to hold a press conference, where he told the crowd there that he was working on getting the technology back up, as well as investigating what caused it. He told them to stay strong, and that he had hired a highly advanced scientist to help him.

			In reality, however, he had hired Kienstrom, who was only there because Dark Top was paying him. After that, they left to Dark Top's Castle, where Dark Top told Kienstrom to begin working on building something he had a blueprint for instead of fixing the machinery problem. Dark Top told him to not ask questions or he won't get the money, so Kienstrom agreed to build it. Over the next week, Kienstrom built whatever it was, and by the end of the week most technology had returned to the planet. Dark Top decided to hold another press conference, this time with it bein televised.

			Reporter Guy, the Popworld version of News Guy, reported on the event, saying Dark Top had an announcement that would supposedly change Popworld's history forever. Dark Top announced that with valiant efforts, the machinery on the planet had returned, but to prevent it from occuring again they needed to defeat those who caused it... and with that, Dark Top declared war on Star World.
