- Gooptail is based on Hooktail, Gloomtail and Bonetail, even intentionally being in the same shape as them. It is possible Gooptail is actually Bonetail, as when the goop is washed away its insides are revealed to be bones like Bonetail. Further suggesting this is its location at the bottom of the Pit of 100 Trials, though it also appeared in a castle reminiscent of Palace of Shadows (like Gloomtail.)
